Metro Station Infrastructure Project
This project involved reinforcement modeling for a complex underground metro station delivered under active construction conditions. The BIM2Field approach ensured that reinforcement models were not created only for coordination, but developed as practical tools that could be directly used on site.
Design and construction changes were continuously integrated into the model, allowing reinforcement to be reviewed, adjusted, and redistributed without interrupting construction progress. The model evolved together with construction while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and control across all phases of the project.
BIM2Field Approach
BIM2Field is a construction workflow that brings the digital BIM model directly to the construction site, enabling teams to work with coordinated 3D information instead of relying primarily on traditional 2D drawings. By connecting digital modeling with on-site execution, the approach allows contractors, engineers, and field crews to access accurate model data throughout the construction process.
Through platforms such as Trimble Connect and detailed reinforcement modeling, project teams can review reinforcement layouts, identify potential issues, and manage updates more efficiently.
This model-based workflow improves coordination, reduces errors, and supports more precise installation of reinforced concrete elements on complex infrastructure projects.
Scope of Work:
- Reinforcement modeling in Tekla Structures
- Preparation of structured deliverables for construction use
- Export of coordinated documentation in IFC, PDF, ABS, and DWG formats
- Organization of deliverables according to construction phases
