How It All Started
After leaving the company where they worked together in August 2017, Ognjen and Aljoša decided to start a business of their own. In October of the same year, the NS Drafter website was launched and, together with freelancing platforms, became the main channel for finding clients in the construction industry. From the very beginning, the idea was clear: to provide high-quality rebar detailing, drafting, and modeling services.
Soon after, they were joined by four colleagues from their university: Nikola, Aleksandra, Milan, and Miloš. NS Drafter was officially founded in June 2018.
As the company continued to grow, it became a limited company in May 2019 under the name NS Drafter DCE Ltd., where DCE stands for Design, Consulting, and Engineering.
Growth, Challenges, and Today
When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, we faced one of the most challenging periods in our company’s history. Construction sites around the world came to a halt, putting significant pressure on the entire AEC industry, including our own business. Despite these challenges, we adapted, reorganized, and successfully overcame this period.
By 2021, we began expanding into new markets. In 2022, we successfully completed our 500th project, and in 2023, our team grew to 50 employees.

What We Do
Rebar Detailing
Using architectural and structural plans, comments, RFIs, and many other pieces of information, we create Reinforcement Shop Drawings and 3D Reinforcement and Formwork Models for beams, columns, slabs, and walls, both cast-in-situ (monolithic construction) and precast elements. Tools like Allplan Engineering, AutoCAD, and ArmCAD help us in delivering drawings and 3D models, which help reinforcement fabricators, workers, and engineers on-site to assemble and install all types of concrete reinforcement.
Steel Detailing
Leveraging advanced technology and a wealth of experience, our company specializes in Steel Detailing services, an essential component for the construction and engineering sectors. Utilizing detailed architectural and structural plans, project specifications, RFIs, and other critical data, we produce comprehensive Shop Drawings and precise 3D Models of steel assemblies. These detailed representations encompass all aspects of steel structures, including beams, columns, braces, staircases, and handrails, catering to both conventional and complex architectural designs.
3D BIM
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is an intelligent 3D model-based process that gives architecture, engineering, and construction professionals the insight and tools to plan, design, construct and manage buildings and infrastructure more efficiently. With tools such as Revit and Allplan, our teams make sure that 3D models of structure, architecture, and MEP provide all the necessary pieces of information, according to technical standards.
