Frequently Asked Questions
What LOD levels do you model to?
We produce models from LOD 200 through LOD 400. LOD 300 is the most common for coordination and clash detection. LOD 400 includes full fabrication-level detail (exact member sizes, connection geometry, anchor bolt layouts, and embedded items) and is used for steel and rebar fabrication workflows.
What BIM software do you use?
Our primary authoring tool is Revit, used for architectural, structural, and MEP coordination models. We also work in Tekla Structures and Navisworks for structural detailing and clash detection. All models are exportable to IFC 2x3 and IFC 4 for open BIM workflows.
What is the difference between LOD 300 and LOD 400?
LOD 300 models contain accurate geometry and location but connections and fixings are represented generically. LOD 400 adds full fabrication intent: every bolt hole, weld, plate dimension, and embedded anchor is explicitly modelled. LOD 400 is required when the model is used directly to drive fabrication or to generate shop drawings without redrawing.
Can you coordinate models from multiple disciplines?
Yes. We federate architectural, structural, and MEP models in Navisworks or Tekla BIMsight, run clash detection, and produce BCF issue reports for resolution. We can manage the coordination process or provide clash reports for your internal team to resolve.
Do you support open BIM and IFC workflows?
Yes. All models we deliver include an IFC export tested against the originating model for geometry and property fidelity. We follow buildingSMART IFC standards and can produce models targeting specific IFC View Definitions (CV2.0, RV1.2) as required by your project's BIM Execution Plan.
