Scandic Railway Station Hotel, Helsinki, Finland

The Scandic Railway Station Hotel project in Helsinki, Finland, is part of a major redevelopment that transforms the administrative building of the central railway station into one of the largest hotels in the country. The project combines the renovation of the existing historic structure with the construction of a new building that expands the hotel’s accommodation capacity.

The newly constructed section of the development includes approximately 120 hotel rooms with a total floor area of around 4,000 m². Once the entire development was completed in 2021, the hotel complex reached a total area of approximately 27,000 m², becoming one of the largest hotel facilities in Finland.

The detailing was carried out in Autodesk.

Scope of work:

NS Drafter prepared reinforcement and formwork detailing for prefabricated structural elements used in the project, including precast wall panels for the newly constructed building. The work involved accurate reinforcement modeling and preparation of shop drawings to support the production and installation of these prefabricated elements during construction.
