Tesla Gigafactory Berlin, Germany

The Tesla Gigafactory in Berlin, Germany, represents one of the most advanced electric vehicle production facilities in Europe. This large-scale industrial development plays a key role in expanding Tesla’s manufacturing capacity and supporting the growing demand for electric vehicles.

Construction of the facility began with site preparation in early 2020 and progressed rapidly through multiple construction phases before the factory officially opened on March 22, 2022. The project required extensive structural coordination due to the large number of prefabricated reinforced concrete elements used throughout the facility.

The modeling and detailing were carried out in Allplan.

Scope of work:

NS Drafter prepared reinforcement and formwork models and shop drawings for a wide range of prefabricated reinforced concrete elements used in the project. The work included detailing of sandwich walls, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, and podium structures. The accurate modeling and documentation of these structural components supported the efficient fabrication, assembly, and installation of the factory’s reinforced concrete elements during construction.
